Welcome to Chesapeake Campground! We have set up the following policies in order that we may, with your help, keep our campground the kind of place that you will want to visit again. Policies, rates and hours of operation may be subject to change without notice.

Refund Policy

In the event that campers need to cancel a reservation, we will refund 80% of the deposit if a cancellation is given 24 hours or more, in advance of the arrival date. If a cancellation is given less than 24 hours in advance, there will be no refund of deposits paid.

NO refunds on holidays.

If a camper is asked to leave for any reason, no refund will be given.

Laundry

Our laundry facility is available 24 hours per day, 365 days per year. Laundry aids may be found in our camp store.

Rules and Restrictions

The maximum speed throughout the campground is 15 mph and 5 mph in the actual campsite areas. Please keep a watchful eye for children playing. Obey the speed limit, keep the children safe and be courteous to others.

Check In, Check Out, Rent, Site Use

All registered camper must be over 21 years of age, have a valid drivers license and a street legal vehicle in order to rent a RV/tent site or cabin.

Check out time is 3pm sharp. Please notify the office when vacating your campsite. Campers not removed by check out time will be towed at the owner’s expense.

All rents are due by 1pm. If your rent becomes past due, your utilities will be turned off and your camper will be towed to storage. Storage fees will be assessed at that time.

Do not move from one site to another without permission from the office so that we can make the proper changes to our records.

Do not move picnic tables from one site to another.

Campfires are allowed.

According to Virginia law no sink, shower or waste water is to be emptied on the ground. Approved receptacles must be provided by campers.

Washing cars, trucks, SUVs or campers in NOT permitted on the campground sites.

Our sites are designed for only one car per site. All cars and guests must be registered at the office where they will be issued a pass. The guest fee is $5.25 per person. Guests must park in the designated area.

Gate passes must be shown to the clerk upon entering the site.

It is the responsibility of each camper to dispose of his/her own trash in the dumpster located at the front of the campground.

You may only store camping gear around your trailer and camp site.

The Health Inspector visits our property approximately every 3 weeks and your cooperation in keeping your area clean is expected and appreciated.

Telephone messages will be taken at the store but will only be delivered to your site in case of an emergency. Other messages and mail can be picked up at the camp store during regular hours.

Pets

Pets are welcome but must be kept on a leash and cared for properly.

The pet owner must have the pet under control and quiet at all times.

It is the responsibility of the pet owner to clean up after their pet.

Pool Area

All children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult while in the swimming pool area.

No food, gum, glass containers or alcoholic beverages will be permitted in the pool area.

Parents are responsible for the actions and safety of their children in the pool area at all times.

Conduct

Quiet time is between 10pm and 8am. Please keep all stereos, radios and TV’s turned down during this time. Any gathering at your site must be quieted so as not to disturb other campers.

All children should be at their own campsite by 10pm.

Alcoholic beverages may be consumed within your own campsite however, we ask that they not be displayed in the public areas of the campground.

We consider this a family campground and will not, in any way, tolerate disorderly conduct on the property. This includes abuse of alcohol, use of illegal drugs and domestic related incidents.

Defacing of any campground property or equipment will not be tolerated.

Firecrackers, fireworks, firearms or any type of explosives are not allowed in the campground.

No camper will have the look of being used as a permanent residence.

Registered campground visitors are responsible for their guests and the conduct of their guests at all times.

THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS TO THE RULES OF CONDUCT. ANYONE FOUND BREAKING THE RULES WILL BE ORDERED TO LEAVE AND NO REFUND WILL BE GIVEN.
